RABBITS FOR ADOPTION
The rabbit photos represent just SOME of our many bunnies available for adoption. If you are interested in attending one of our adoption days in order to adopt please tell us a little about the type of rabbit you are looking for (Male v. Female, Up-ear v. Lop, Young or Older, Black, Blue, White, Dwarf v. French Lop, Good with cats, etc.) so that we can tailor our adoption day selections to be more in keeping with what you want to see. Please note that the majority of our rabbits come in as strays; therefore we may not know anything about their prior life. All temperament descriptions come from our observations of their interactions with our volunteers and are true to the best of our knowledge.
All rabbits will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Please review our full list of Adoption Policies.
If you know you want a bunny, visit the buns' shopping list of supplies and caging information to get you on track for rabbit ownership!
If you are thinking of a bunny as a pet or gift for a child we recommend reading Rabbits and Children, by the HRS before going any further. Bunny Magic suggests any adult ask themselves if they would enjoy the rabbit as a pet if they did not have children, because ultimately the responsibility for the care and well-being of the rabbit will fall to the adult in the household!
If you have never owned a rabbit please read this excellent article by Dana Krempels (used with permission) (here) about your first house rabbit and visit our page asking if you are a rabbit person!(here)
Are you thinking of a second rabbit as a companion for a rabbit already in residence? Read about our Bonding process. (NOTE: when you are looking at rabbits please look both at our "single" and our multiple rabbits page--there are a few multiple rabbits that could go as an individual provided it was a match situation.)
Once you are ready to take the next step, or if you have any questions about responsible rabbit ownership, please contact us and we will do our best to assist you further!
Our adoption ratesare $110 for a bonded m/f pair, and $80 for a single rabbit.
If you have lots of room in your heart, maybe some of our LONG TERM RESIDENTS are the match for you. Please contact us to see if one of the rabbits in this special program is the one for you.
Many of our bunnies, as well as other rabbits available for adoption nationwide and in our region, are available to view at www.Petfinder.org.
